About the GW UNESCO Fellows Program:

The GW UNESCO Chair in International Education for Development provides graduate students the unique opportunity to explore issues in international education on site through its GW UNESCO Fellows Program. Housed in GSEHD’s International Education Program, the GW UNESCO Fellows Program supports up to six current students as they conduct summer research at UNESCO field offices around the world. Fellows gain valuable experience in international development and non-profit management while living in and learning from the country of focus.

This year the GW UNESCO Chair sent the third cohort of Fellows to UNESCO offices in Bangkok, Thailand; Paris, France; Hamburg, Germany; Amman, Jordan; New Delhi, India; and Dakar, Senegal. Fellows worked on issues related to barriers to quality education in their host countries.
