“Hungry Translations: Yearning for Justice” by Professor Richa Nagar
Join the WGSS community for this year's Yulee talk by a pathbreaking scholar of feminist epistemology, Professor Richa Nagar. This talk will be followed by a workshop for WGSS MA students on the politics of research titled "Grappling with the Politics of Knowledge-Making: Some Starting Points."

About the Speaker: Richar Nagar is a Professor of the College in the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. Her multi-lingual and multi-genre work blends scholarship, creative writing, theatre, and activism to build alliances with people's struggles and to engage questions of ethics, responsibility, and justice.

Professor Nagar has published eight books and dozens of essays, articles, plays, and poems in English and Hindi. Her books in English include the trilogy: Playing with Fire: Feminist Thought and Activism through Seven Lives in India (2006), Muddying the Waters: Coauthoring Feminisms Across Scholarship and Activism (2014), and Hungry Translations: Relearning the World Through Radical Vulnerability (2019).
