Join us for our first-ever space simulation as we delve into the future of space's great power competition. In this simulation, we will examine the political, ethical, and legal ramifications of exploring this exciting frontier.
With the expansion of telecommunications and geospatial information technology comes a new era of crowded space. The traditional powers of Russia and the United States are joined by new actors, both state and commercial. In an era of great power competition and corporate expansion, space will play a vital role in any future earthly conflict. Can any one power gain the upper hand? Will space remain a peaceful domain in the face of militarization? Join us for "Lost Horizon" to parse the future of human control among the stars.
Lost Horizons will take place on Saturday, December 3rd, 2022, from 11:00 AM EST to 5:00 PM EST. This simulation will be held in-person at GWU's Funger Hall, COVID permitting.
