Other Notable Actions

The Dept. of Homeland Security withdrew a final rule after it was vacated by a Federal district court. The rule would have amended the process by which H-1B registrations are selected, by generally first selecting registrations based on the highest prevailing wage level of intended employment. Effective December 22.
The EPA issued a proposed rule "to modify the 2021 and 2022 statutory volume targets for cellulosic biofuel, advanced biofuel, and total renewable fuel, as well as to establish the 2022 volume target for biomass-based diesel." Comments due February 4, 2022.
The Dept. of Energy issued a final rule to revise the current definition of “showerhead” adopted in a December 2020 final rule by reinstating an October 2013 definition of “showerhead.” (You just can't make this stuff up!) Effective January 19, 2022.
