About the Author:

Alexa Alice Joubin is a Professor of English and International Affairs at George Washington University. She is affiliated with  Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies, Theatre, and East Asian Languages and Cultures at GW. She is also the co-founder and co-director of the Digital Humanities Institute at GWU. Her research has been funded by the Fulbright Foundation and the National Endowment for the Humanities, among many others.


About the Moderator:

Richard J. Haddock is the Program Associate of the East Asia National Resource Center (NRC), a University-wide initiative based at the GWU Elliott School of International Affairs. He holds an M.A. in Asian Studies from the Elliott School, with a concentration on domestic politics and foreign policy of East Asia.
