COVID-19 Related Actions
The Occupational Safety & Health Administration issued an "emergency temporary standard to protect unvaccinated employees of large employers (100 or more employees) from the risk of contracting COVID-19 by strongly encouraging vaccination. Covered employers must develop, implement, and enforce a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy, with an exception for employers that instead adopt a policy requiring employees to either get vaccinated or elect to undergo regular COVID-19 testing and wear a face covering at work in lieu of vaccination."

Other Notable Actions
The Environmental Protection Agency is extending the deadline for comments on an advance notice "to assist in the potential development of regulations for pyrolysis and gasification units that are used to convert solid or semi-solid feedstocks to useful products such as energy, fuels, and chemical commodities." Comments now due December 23.
The Corps of Engineers and Environmental Protection Agency is extending the deadline for nominations to participate in regional meetings regarding the definition of "waters of the United States." Nominations now due December 1.
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau issued a notice to "better understand how firms use personal payments data and manage data access to users." Comments due December 6.
The Dept. of Education issued a request for information to "find rigorous research on education practices designed to improve postsecondary student success." Comments due December 8.
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration issued a final rule "to include rear impact guards on the list of items that must be examined as part of the required annual inspection for each commercial motor vehicle." Effective December 9.
