The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued a notice of proposed rulemaking to revise fuel economy standards for passenger cars and light trucks for model years 2024-26. Comments due October 26.
The Centers for Disease Control issued a notice for a "blanket humanitarian exemption to the agency's Requirement for Negative Pre-Departure COVID-19 Test Result for individuals relocating to the United States from Afghanistan, including U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, third country nationals, and Afghans at risk, including Afghan Special Immigrant Visa applicants." Effective August 15.
The Food Safety & Inspection Service issued an advance notice of proposed rulemaking on the "labeling of meat and poultry products comprised of or containing cultured cells derived from animals." Comments due November 2.
The Dept. of Health & Human Services issued a request for information regarding the licensure process for childcare facilities that care for unaccompanied children arriving to the U.S. Comments due October 4.
The Food & Drug Administration issued a request for comments on the agency's New Era of Smarter Food Safety Blueprint. The FDA will host public meetings from October 19-21, and comments are due November 20.
